What We Believe
Glendale Baptist Church believes the Bible to be the inspired Word of God and the final authority for man’s relationship with God and man’s conduct in all aspects of life.
We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons- Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father and His personal return in power and glory.
We believe in the necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the sinfulness of human nature and that men are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ and that only by God’s grace and through faith alone we are saved.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our Motto
To Know Him and
Make Him Known
At Glendale, our motto is “To Know Him and Make Him Known”. You may wonder what exactly does that mean? It is actually very simple.
To Know Him: To know Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the only way to the Father and to have a growing relationship with him in your everyday life. (Matt 3:16-17; Matt17:5; John 14:6)
To Make Him Know: Not only should we have a relationship with Jesus Christ but we should share that and tell others about that relationship so they may too make a decision to follow Jesus in their lives. (Matt 28:18-20)
“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.”
– 2 Timothy 3:16 (NLT)
